Había una vez un amigo que estudiaba inglés en el CELE.
El profersor de este amigo le encargó que escribiera “algo” para probar su nivel de manejo del inglés.
Así que el amigo hizo lo que sigue.
Y, extrañamente, coincide muy bien con el tema de este blog (queda pendiente la discusión para definir las diferencias entre geek, freak, nerd y similares).

In all the history of the humanity has existed one particular kind of people, whose likes the sciences and they aren’t very goods in social things. Actually, the nerds and the computer are much closed. And the nerdity is a subculture who goes from just a preference for a few things to a life style.

Ya hice el test, y mi calificación fue de 21 lo cual me definiría como una cosa rara, ni nerd ni normal. Hay varias cosas que me salvan de ser un nerd total y es en primer lugar que casi no sé de computadoras, amo los deportes, tengo novia, no megustan los juegos de roll y he sido muy crítico de las pelis de Star Wars a pesar de que otros camarradas geeks me han odiado por eso. Sin embargo creo que todo esto se compensa con otras características muy nerds que tengo, por lo que creo que tal vez el test es algo simplista. Para confirmar mi nerdez incluso me han gritado algna vez en la calle, estilo homero simpson Neeeerddd!!! Además de que ese era mi apodo en 5o y 6o de primaria
Concuerdo con el "camarón camarada" Lalo Landa. Me considero una persona bastante ñoña y el test me dio tan sólo 20 puntos, que me colocan también en el sitio extraño entre normal y rarilla.Y es curioso porque yo sí soy muy fan de Star Wars, me clavo con los juegos de compu (la prendo aunque no la esté usando) y la física siempre me ha parecido muy chida. Por otro lado, (el lado notangeek)también me gustan los deportes, no soporto los jueguillos estilo magic y prefiero salir a vagar por la ciudad que quedarme en mi casa a hacer tarea.
Propongo que nos demos a la tarea de realizar un test más amplio que revele la verdadera identidad de los nerds, no sólo de aquellos evidentemente nerds, sino de otros, que como yo, tardan un tiempo en ser descubiertos.

Estoy completamente de acuerdo. Yo tuve un resultado demasiado alto (28) lo cual es extraño tomando en cuenta sus resultados.
Tendremos que comenzar a diseñar el siguiente.
Mi calificación fue de 19. No entiendo por qué las matemáticas obtienen una calificación de 1 y también I Robot.
Mi mejor amiga en la primaria me llamaba Megasesa, nombre tomado de un personaje de una caricatura que seguro nadie recuerda que se llamaba Widget y que era sobre un extraterrestre morado cuyo mejor amigo era "MEGABRAIN", o "Megaseso", en la traducción mexicana (asumo).

Ya lo hice (el test, ja!) y concuerdo con uds: hay algo acá que no anda bien. Mi puntaje fue de 24, lo cual me coloca en una nerd "in training", lo que en realidad no soy...En fin, ojalá en verdad trabajen en un nuevo test.
